Feburary 10, 2014

Woohoo life. This week was one of the happiest of my mission.
I have the greatest companion in the whole wide world. She is truly amazing. I love every single thing about her and we are having the time of our lives and working our little hearts out!
I have no time to explain just how great she is but I have one story that I think will illustrate just how perfect our companinship is.
This week we were teaching one of our cute 10 year old investigators. She is super shy and lacks confidence. We decided to teach about her divine destiny and so we took the angle of her being a princess.
Ok get this, we had not time to really plan what we were going to sayexactly but in the middle of the lesson my awesome companion took the angle of PRINCESS DIARIES.
I kid you not.
Hello my name is Sister Brown and I can quote every single line from Princess Diaries and it´s my favorite movie of all time ever.
We ran with this idea of pure inspiration and ended up teaching the cutest happiest lesson about prayer and divine potential that I have ever taught.
We left that lesson and I just freaked out and hugged her in the street and we spent the rest of the afternoon quoting Princess Mia and applying it to the Gospel.

I LOVE MY COMPANION!
In other news, we had leadership council this week and it was lovely! It was such a happy sunshiney experince to be there with all the sister training leaders/favorite women in the world and to bask in happy loveliness. We learned so much and it was a perfect day.
In OTHER news, I got called on to speak in sacrament again. Jeesh. Sister Fernelius and I split the meeting this time so it wasn´t quite as ridiculous. I pulled the whole singing trick again so I had to speak for less time. I love being a missionary.
I spent the morning studying about faith and obedience and the correlation that they have. It´s amazing how all of the gospel principles are so inticately intertwined. When we have true faith in God, we trust his vision above our own and we understand that ALL of his laws and commandments are for our good.
L. Tom Perry says
Men and women receive their agency as a gift from God, but their liberty and, in turn, their eternal happiness come from obedience to His laws.
My convite for all of you this week is to check you obedience. We´re never going to be perfect but that doesn´t mean we shouldn´t try. Find one thing, one little commandment to better about yourself. Raise the bar of obedience just a liiiiittle more in your life and stand back and see the miracle that will flood in.
I love you!
Sister Brown
